Creature Comfort is a celebration of the bond between humans and their pets from the perspective of the original ‘pet parents’ - Baby Boomers.
Through the stories of five humans and their animal companions Creature Comfort pays homage to the outsized impact of pets on our lives, including the many ways they can improve our health and help us to age well. It’s a show about the power of friendship to sustain us at every stage of our lives – no matter the species.
Each of the series’ 5 x 30-minute episodes is a self-contained story exploring the profound affect pets can have on the lives of the humans around them. Cuteness abounds inescapably – but ultimately it’s the human stories that take centre stage.
Our characters face familiar rewards and challenges of ageing: new found freedoms, changing bodies, the desire to age well. They provide examples of resilience, empowerment and personal growth. The common thread is the crucial
role pets are playing to help them do so.
